Has the countdown to attack Iran begun already? Would Israel go it alone? And what would the regional implications be? Guests: Yaakov Katz, defence analyst and author; Mohammad Marandi, professor of political science at the University of Tehran (4 Feb 2012).
As I explained quite some time ago, Israel’s current leader has an obsession with Iran and the dangers the country poses for the Jewish nation state dating back to the last century: “Back in mid-November 1997, the BBC reported that the ‘Israeli Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, has said that Iran could pose a bigger danger than Iraq. He said the situation could develop where Iran had nuclear weapons aimed at Britain and the United States’”. Will Bibi now be so foolhardy as to actually attack the Islamic Republic??? According to Leon Panetta, he will . . . Will this be the beginning of World War III, as a follow-up to a possible UN-backed or rogue foreign intervention in Syria???
